Company History

Methode Ireland has been in operation over 15 years providing its OEM customers with an unparalleled service, initially in cable assemblies. Methode Ireland began as an Irish-owned company until 1991, when Fujikura Ltd. of Japan took a 40% shareholding. In 1994, the company was purchased by Methode Electronics, Inc. of Chicago. Methode is a major producer of component devices for the data processing, communications and automotive markets. It operates 14 manufacturing plants in the U.S., Europe & Asia.

Methode Ireland began manufacture of SCSI terminators and adapters in 1995 to complement its cable assembly capability. In 1998, Methode Ireland began manufacture of a family of high speed serial data connectors for use in Fibre Channel & Gigabit Ethernet applications. We have now combined our expertise  in the manufacture of both terminators and cables to offer a series of 'smart' SCSI cable assemblies with built-in termination.
